On 29 October, WINS concluded a five-day training programme on Radioactive Source Security Management for 25 Thai delegates from the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Thailand’s nuclear regulatory body.
The training course was delivered in collaboration between Thai nuclear experts from OAP, the Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology and Chulalongkorn University and WINS.
The five-day course – which was customised for the trainees and based on the WINS Academy Module called “Radioactive Source Security Management” – aimed to enhance radioactive source security in the country by providing trainees with a robust understanding of security. Additionally, delegates were given access to the WINS Academy Certification programme on Radioactive Source Security Management in Thai language, which includes access to the online Radioactive Source Security Management Module and a voucher for the Radioactive Source Security Management module certification exam.
OAP and WINS will hold two more training courses on the topic of Radioactive Source Security Management for Thai stakeholders during the first semester of 2022.
