WINS is pleased to announce the publication of its latest White Paper on “Facilitating Accountability for Nuclear Security: A Model National Assurance Programme for Nuclear Security”

Promoting political and public confidence in nuclear security requires governments and operators to exert proper oversight over the security programmes and to have confidence that the security systems would respond effectively if challenged. This paper sets out a model framework that would allow States and operators to publish unclassified information to provide internal and external assurances that oversight is effective and that accountabilities are clearly established and implemented.
