WINS has published articles in the two most recent editions of Radiation Regulator (Volume 1, Numbers 2 and 3).
The first article sets out the need for regulators to set professional competence standards for nuclear security, and introduces the concept of introducing certified programmes for professionals with accountability for security.
The second article further explores the idea of competence, why this development is important for regulators, how regulators can achieve security competence, and our vision for the provision of certified security programmes for regulators.
Radiation Regulator is a new international journal supporting continuous professional development for regulators of radiation and radioactive substances. The journal will provide professional development material and leading edge thinking relevant to radiation regulators, as well as relevant news from around the world.
