The 2014 Nuclear Knowledge Summit (NKS) is an official non-governmental side event of the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) bringing together more than 200 experts from around the world to discuss how to strengthen the global nuclear security regime. The NKS also aims to help create a broad platform of experts and non-governmental organisations support internationally to promote nuclear security. The NKS takes place in The Hague, the Netherlands, from March 19 to March 23, 2014.
On Friday, March 21, 2014, the panels and discussions at the NKS focused on:
– Improving Regime Cohesion
– Regional Approaches to Nuclear Security
– Cyber Security in the Context of Nuclear Security
– Information Sharing and Peer Review
Dr. Roger Howsley, WINS Executive Director, participated in the third panel on “Information Sharing and Peer Review” and discussed Industry Approaches to Transparency and Confidence Building.
