The third Nuclear Industry Summit (NIS) took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 23 – 25 March 2014.
The NIS 2014 is a high level event for CEO’s from the nuclear industry world-wide that aims to talk about industry-related nuclear security, both now and in the future. It is organised by URENCO. Previous editions of the NIS took place in Washington in 2010 and Seoul in 2012.
The 2014 NIS was organised in conjunction with the Nuclear Security Summit for world leaders held in the Hague on 24 – 25 March 2014.
WINS’ involvment in the NIS
On March 24th, Dr. Roger Howsley, WINS Executive Director and Chair of the NIS Advisory committee, made a keynote address on The need for demonstrable competence for nuclear security from the Board to Practitioner.
