New NTI paper on How to Build an Effective Global Nuclear Security System

The Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) just published a paper encouraging world leaders at the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit to continue the work, post-Summit, to build an effective global system for securing all weapons-usable nuclear materials—the highly enriched uranium and plutonium needed to build a nuclear bomb. Based on NTI’s Global Dialogue meetings held over multiple years with government officials, experts and private sector leaders, including WINS representatives, this paper outlines what’s needed to achieve this.
