The IAEA – A Global Platform for Cooperation in Nuclear Security [Video]

On March 30, 2016, the IAEA released a video in which IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano talks about the Agency’s central role in helping the world act in unison against nuclear terrorism.

The IAEA supports countries worldwide in their efforts to prevent nuclear terrorism by improving the security of radioactive materials in use or storage at medical and industrial facilities or power plants.It provides training and detection equipment to national border control authorities to prevent smuggling and helps states to bolster security at major sporting events.
