WINS Launches Its Gender Champions Programme in Nuclear Security

Thanks to funding from the Governments of Canada and Norway, we are pleased to announce that we have launched our new Gender Champions Programme in Nuclear Security.

Our Goal

Our ultimate goal is to encourage more women to enter the field of nuclear security, thereby contributing their knowledge, skills and diverse points of view to meeting and resolving the challenges that the industry faces.

Our Programme

The WINS programme consists of several different facets, which include:

• Increasing scholarships for women to participate in WINS events and the WINS Academy professional development certification programme.
• Ensuring gender balance among expert presenters at WINS events and training courses.
• Implementing an extensive research project on gender equality in nuclear security.
• Becoming an active member of International Gender Champions.
