Dr Roger Howsley to Chair the Next Meeting of Security of the International Fuel Cycle, a Working Group of the World Nuclear Association

A working group of the World Nuclear Association–Security of the International Fuel Cycle–will meet on  Wednesday, 9 January 2019, in London and WINS’ Executive Director, Dr Roger Howsley, will chair the meeting in a personal capacity.

During this meeting, the working group will relaunch itself as the Working Group on Security and Resilience. It will also discuss its two-year work plan (2019-2020), which has three objectives:

• Develop a cocordinated industry view on how nuclear security objectives are implemented.
• Cooperate with the IAEA with the aim of communicating the industry viewpoint.
• Encourage newcomer countries to apply appropriate effective security arrangements.

The event will take place at the Institution of Engineering and Technology, 2 Savoy Place, London WC2R OBL.

Time: 10:30 to 17:30.
