In response to the growing demand to support individuals working and studying from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, WINS Academy learners now have the choice of taking their module exam at a PearsonVUE Test Centre or via OnVUE remote proctoring. OnVUE enables exams to be taken online from an individual’s home or office, provided the environment is suitable and the computer meets the OnVUE system requirements.
The online exam option will be available globally, where OnVue is available.*
“Offering online exam proctoring will help us provide more accessible opportunities for certification in more places, expanding our international community of certified professionals,” said WINS Executive Director Roger Howsley.
For learners wishing to take the online exam, it is extremely important that they first run a system test to ensure:
- the PC system and software is suitable
- the room where they want to take the exam from is suitable
- they have confirmed the ID requirements for the online exam
Only when the above steps have been completed and confirmed should a WINS Academy learner book an online exam.

All exams will be booked in the normal way from the learner’s Member Dashboard, and the type of exam can be selected during the booking process. A full walk-through of the booking process is available here.
