About Sonia

Sonia Naz is a Ph.D Scholar at National Defense University Islamabad. She has been Nuclear Scholar of Kings College London from 2021 to 2022. She has worked as a “Visiting Lecturer” at Fatima Jinnah Women University and Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, University of Lahore Islamabad and International Islamic University Islamabad. Furthermore, she has been the nuclear fellow of CSSPR cohort 2021 and her latest research "India’s Military Application of Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Pakistan" has published by CSSPR. Previously, she has also worked as a Research Associate in the Strategic Vision Institute Islamabad. She has completed her degree in M. Phil-International Relations, from COMSATS University Islamabad. She has done Masters in Defence and Diplomatic Studies with distinction from Fatima Jinnah University. Her Research paper on "Nuclear Security Summits: Future and impact on Pakistan nuclear Security" has been published in the journal of Security and Strategic Analysis. She frequently writes on nuclear terrorism, nuclear safety and security, South Asian nuclear politics and arms control that are being published in various national, international papers and blog posts.
