Assuring the Effectiveness of Cybersecurity at Nuclear Facilities

This WINS International Best Practice Guide (BPG) covers best practices from the nuclear industry for activities such as assessments, audits, peer reviews, drills, and more that provide assurance of the effectiveness of a cybersecurity programme at a nuclear facility. The measure of effectiveness is whether the cybersecurity programme reduces the risk of a cyberattack and would mitigate the consequences of a cyberattack.

This Guide also contains a Self-Assessment Questionnaire that can be used to answer questions about different aspects of the effectiveness of cybersecurity arrangements and how they are implemented at your organisation. The results of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire can then be applied to the five-level Maturity Scale in the Guide.
