Managing Interfaces Between Nuclear Safety and Nuclear Security

This WINS International Best Practice Guide will help you understand, identify and manage the interfaces between nuclear safety and nuclear security at your facility. Effective nuclear safety and nuclear security systems and measures are fundamental for successful and sustainable nuclear programmes. Guidance is provided at the strategic, operational and tactical levels to support effective interface management.

This Guide also contains a Self-Assessment Questionnaire that can be used to answer questions about the effectiveness of your organisation’s management of nuclear safety and security interfaces. The results of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire can then be applied to the five-level Maturity Scale in the Guide.
