Nuclear Security Culture

This WINS International Best Practice Guide explains what nuclear security culture is – in the context of a broader understanding of organisational culture – and how it is created, maintained and sustained. It provides clear guidance on the benefits for an organisation if it nurtures a positive and effective nuclear security culture and the risks to an organisation if it has poor or immature nuclear security culture.

This Guide also contains a Self-Assessment Questionnaire that can be used to answer questions about different aspects of nuclear security culture and how it is implemented at your organisation. The results of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire can then be applied to the five-level Maturity Scale in the Guide.
