Online Workshop: Managing Nuclear Safety and Nuclear Security Interfaces at Nuclear Facilities: Learning from Operational Experience

WINS held an online workshop on Managing Nuclear Safety and Nuclear Security Interfaces at Nuclear Facilities: Learning from Operational Experience from 16-18 November 2021.

The overall objectives of this workshop were to provide attendees with a better understanding of the benefits of a stronger coordination between nuclear safety and nuclear security; to identify nuclear safety and nuclear security interfaces and review the role of various stakeholders in effectively managing these interfaces; and to identify challenges, gaps and good practices in bringing the two disciplines closer.

Participants came from variety of organisations such as nuclear operators, regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and emergency responders, different governmental bodies, international organisations, etc.

WINS provided participants the opportunity to interact amongst themselves and with the subject matter experts to exchange their thoughts and professional experiences on the topic.
