Since 2023, WINS has been working with the Southeast Asian region to develop competency frameworks and the systematic approach to training. This webinar moves from theory into practice, focusing on strategies and techniques used by experts in the field.
In this webinar, we’ll focus on practical approaches to learning and development programmes at nuclear and radioactive source facilities. A panel of local subject matter experts from a regulator, operator and training organisation will share their experience and solutions for designing and implementing training programmes in line with competency frameworks.
Participants will have the opportunity to raise questions and help guide the discussion around the issues they face in their own work.
Purposes
The safe and secure management of nuclear and other radioactive material requires that individuals entrusted with this task possess the necessary qualifications and experience. The responsibility for cultivating this expertise lies with the licensee, who must demonstrate to regulatory authorities the existence of appropriate mechanisms for employee professional development.
Objectives
As discussed in previous webinars, a well-developed competency framework is crucial to establishing a direct link between individual performance and organisational objectives, facilitating the organised management of training programmes. The systematic approach to training ensures the nuclear security training programme is developing the necessary workforce with the exact competencies staff need to perform their job duties.
This webinar will link theory with practice, focusing on active discussion between panellists and audience members.
