The IAEA has introduced a suite of 16 e-learning modules developed and provided by the IAEA Division of Nuclear Security, Department of Nuclear Safety and Security. They are free of cost and access, and hosted on the IAEA e-learning platform: http://elearning.iaea.org/m2/course/index.php?categoryid=48
Annually, the Division of Nuclear Security conducts more than 100 training events for Member States as well as for Non-Member States. The range, depth and number of training events have continuously increased in the past years and cover thematic and skills-building topics.
To more effectively provide training, the Division of Nuclear Security offers sixteen e-learning modules in Nuclear Security based on IAEA guidance documents. The estimated time for completing each module is between 1-4 hours. This e-learning is intended for a wide range of personnel and organizations with nuclear security responsibilities as well as the interested public.
Upon successful completion of each module, participants can obtain a certificate of completion. A number of IAEA nuclear security instructor-led training activities require the successful completion of particular e-learning modules prior to attending training to support more effective training for Member States.
