Keeping Nuclear Power Plants Secure and in Operation during the Pandemic

Mr William Tobey, Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Chair of the WINS Board, has contributed to an article on power plant security during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The article outlines eight actions that nuclear facilities are taking to ensure safety, security and continuity of their essential function.

“Enterprises will also need to share information, learn quickly, and adapt over the course of the crisis,” the authors note.

Mr Nickolas Roth, Director of the Stimson Center’s Nuclear Security Program, and Mr Simon Saradzhyan, the Founding Director of the Russia Matters project at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, co-authored the article.
