WINS is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, 26 July 2016, Dr. Roger Howsley, Executive Director of the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), and Larry Satkowiak, President of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM), signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The signing took place in Atlanta, Georgia, during INMM’s 57th annual meeting.
This groundbreaking MOU not only formalises the long-standing cooperation between the two professional organisations, but it also significantly strengthens their relationship and ability to carry out their common missions: encouraging and supporting the safe and secure management of nuclear materials by sharing information with practitioners.
Examples of how this collaboration will benefit members include:
WINS and INMM will cooperate together to share their knowledge through the WINS Knowledge Centre, peer reviews, and the organisation of joint events. The two organisations will also promote each other’s activities among their respective members.
