WINS is pleased to announce that Ms Mary Alice Hayward has been elected by the voting members of WINS as the newest WINS Board Member. Ms Hayward was elected as Board Member in August and was recently confirmed by the Austrian authorities this month.
Ms Hayward has extensive experience in the nuclear sector, most recently as the founder and principal of Hayward Consulting, a practice specialising in advising clients on nuclear energy, nonproliferation and US national security issues.
Previously, Ms Hayward was also the Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Management at the IAEA. She led the delivery of financial, human resources, management, administrative, information and general services that allow the IAEA to deliver its scientific and technical nuclear mandates.
Ms. Hayward has a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Foreign Languages from the University of Michigan. She holds a Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of Nuclear Sciences and Engineering and National Academy for Nuclear Training Reactor Technology Certificate.
