WINS Executive Director Dr Roger Howsley Interviewed on Titans of Nuclear

WINS Executive Director Dr Roger Howsley was invited by the Titans of Nuclear project to discuss his career in the nuclear industry. The interview with Olubummi Olajide describes how he entered the nuclear industry in 1981 as a health physicist and subsequently became the Director responsible for nuclear security, safeguards and other functions.

Throughout the interview he stresses the importance of communication with the public and gaining their support, as well as getting rid of the unnecessary secrecy associated with the nuclear industry. In 2007, he left the nuclear industry after being invited  to become the co-founder of WINS. Twelve years after WINS’ foundation, he discusses the organisation’s mission and how he sees the global outlook for nuclear energy.
