30th WINS Best Practice Guide
The WINS Best Practice Guides (BPGs) offer practical, hands-on information on topics dealing with Nuclear Security Management. They are international, informative, innovative and frequently updated to reflect the evolution of best practices and new ideas. In February, we have published our 30th BPG on Information Security for Operators: Challenges and Opportunities. This new BPG, a joint publication with the Information Security Forum (ISF), is intended for Nuclear Operators who are responsible for managing classified information. It provides the guidance and practical advice necessary to develop an effective information security strategy.
Series of publications
Following this momentum, we re-organised all WINS BPGs into five groupings. This classification supports the approach adopted by the WINS Academy Security Certification Programme and allows users to quickly find and easily access the information they are looking for.
WINS BPGs are now numbered and have new, color-coded cover designs which make them more user-friendly and easily identifiable. In addition, we have revised the maturity scale which now ranges from world class (1) to ineffective (5). Finally each guide contains a list of all available BPGs.
Updated Dossiers section
On this occasion, we also updated the Dossiers section of our website’s Members Area. The new Dossiers viewer has user-friendly interface which allows for quick browsing and immediate access to all information related to each of the 6 following topics:
Indeed, each of the new Dossiers contains all relevant BPGs and publications, selected events and, when appropriate, discussion forums.
We encourage you to download the new Best Practice Guides and to visit the new Dossiers section of your Members Area. We value your opinion, please send your comments, suggestions for improvement and feedback to: info@wins.org
