WINS is pleased to publish its Organisational Strategy for the period 2016 to 2020 and our updated Vision and Mission statements, which read as follows:
WINS Vision
All nuclear and other radiological materials and facilities are effectively secured by demonstrably competent professionals applying best practice to achieve operational excellence
WINS Mission
To be the leader in professional development and certification for nuclear security management
The revisions to our strategy have resulted from extensive discussions with external stakeholders and the desire to have clear, performance-based targets for our work in the years ahead. Dr Roger Howsley noted “Our objective has been to develop an effective approach to strategy development and execution so that everyone inside and outside the organisation understands how WINS can contribute to the international goal of enhancing nuclear security. We believe that WINS can make a significant contribution to human performance and help generate an environment where all personnel with accountabilities for nuclear security are professionally trained and certified as competent.”
