WINS Welcomes New Team Member

We are pleased to welcome Chris Behan, who is joining the WINS team this month. He will be working at WINS until the end of 2020, sponsored by the US Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Global Material Security (GMS), and will be focusing on the application of advanced technology to nuclear security, amongst other projects.

Prior to his secondment at WINS, Mr Behan was the Deputy Director (Acting) of the Office of Nuclear Threat Science within the Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation at the National Nuclear Security Administration in the US Department of Energy. He also spent several years at the US National Counterterrorism Center, and five years as a Nuclear Security Officer at the International Atomic Energy Agency. In addition to counterterrorism, Mr Behan has a strong background in the international nuclear security regimes, in nuclear materials utility, and in the US nuclear regulatory environment.
