A Message from WINS on COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak reminds us of an important value in nuclear security: We’re all in this together. Collaboration, as always, is at the heart of what we do. Please let us know if there’s any specific assistance we can offer you at this difficult time.

We’ve adapted our programme to include virtual events such as webinars and online workshops. The Workshop on Security Considerations for Nuclear Industry New Build/New Entrants was our first conference conducted entirely online. On-demand sessions allowed us to reach a wider audience, as registrants could review them on their own schedule. This convenient format enabled participants from Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America to take part.

Our series of webinars has also attracted a broad audience, and we will continue to broadcast these discussions to inform and continue the discussion about important topics. You can view all of our upcoming webinars and online conferences on our events page. Videos of past webinars are also available to watch in the Knowledge Centre for those who couldn’t attend live.

We are continuously reviewing our forward programme to stay agile and relevant and to serve our membership in the most accessible manner. We will provide updates as plans are confirmed.

We introduced online proctored exams from the end of April, so WINS Academy participants can complete them at their convenience without travelling to an examination centre. (Please note that some Pearson Test Centres have closed, so check with your local centre about any scheduled exams.)

If you have any suggestions for how we can better serve you, please send them to info@wins.org.
