Purpose

 

The purpose of this Joint Statement is to ensure that management and personnel with accountability for nuclear security are demonstrably competent.

 

Highlights

 

The joint statement suggests two ways to support the training of capable managers in this field:

  • Sustaining and enhancing local or regional training through education, certification or qualification programmes
  • Participating in or supporting efforts of the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS) to produce best practice guides and training activities
